Run / Walk / Bike



This annual event, run by the Geraldine Lions Club and Bike Geraldine. All ages and genders are catered for. The tracks are very sheltered from wind and heat and provide very pleasant surroundings in which to compete or enjoy. Proceeds from this years event will go to local charities.




Location: Orari Race Course, Geraldine. Signs will be out on race day.

Cancellation: In the event of adverse weather and the event is cancelled there will be no cash refunds of entry fees, these will be transferred to the 2020 event. Notification of cancellation will be on Port FM from 7am on the day and our Facebook page.


  Prizegiving/Prizes: Prize-giving for the Run/Walk events will be at approx 11:30am and for the MTB events it will be at approx 1:15pm. There is over $5K in Cash Prizes plus Spot Prizes  including a Bike donated by THE CYCLERY TIMARU.


Fees & Registration: Entries to be received by Wednesday 13th of March 2019.

A late entry fee of $20 will be charged in addition to the race fee for entries on the day. Entries are permitted on the day and will incur the late fee. One late fee will be charged to family ride groups. All other events late fee applies per person. Late entries will NOT be eligible for spot prizes. Registration will close at 10am on Race Day.


Refunds: Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Entry fees can be transferred to the 2020 event.




Mountain Bike

52kms Geraldine MTB Challenge - for competitive riders who want a longer distance which includes some hill climbing and more single tracks. This is a combination of river and farm tracks with some road riding.


32kms Intermediate Challenge - A shorter race for those who still like a good workout and a challenge. Mostly on tracks alongside the Orari River with some enjoyable single tracks as well.


18kms Recreational Fun Ride - designed for family groups and those wanting a shorter ride to enjoy. This ride still uses the single and 4WD tracks alongside the Orari River.



21.8km Half Marathon - mainly off-road, a picturesque run through the river tracks for competitive and social runners. There are water stations at 6kms/10kms and 15kms.


13.8km Recreational Run - enjoy this mainly off-road challenge on the Orari River tracks amongst the trees in sheltered conditions. There is one water station at half-way point.


5.8km Fun Run/Walk - a shorter distance for those who want to enjoy the experience and have fun.

RULES and conditions

  1. An approved helmet must be worn throughout the events.
  2. The decision of the Race Director affecting all matters is final.
  3. Carry enough equipment to keep your bike mobile.
  4. Issued numbers must be visible at all times during the event.
  5. Normal road rules apply on public roads.
  6. Please respect all private property and do not litter.
  7. First aid, water and transport will be available on the course.
  8. The organisers reserve the right to reject any entry or disqualify any entrant not complying to the above conditions of entry.
  9. I agree and authorise Geraldine Multi Challenge to use photographs, video and film taken during the event for promotional purposes.
